The Writer's Café

Hey everyone! I think I'll just be posting short stories that actually have no connection to each other I just want to have all of them contained on one thread just in case I start writing a lot of them, I'd rather not clog up forums. So, all of these are based off of titles that my friends and I came up with, so if you like anything and want to suggest a title for a short story, I will do my best to accomodate and write a story. Alright, let's start! (oh and there are probably going to be a lot of same sex relationships in my stories so if you don't like that...sorry!)

Smiling Serpent

Emma glanced around the empty room, trying to find an exit. She had been chasing a butterfly, spellbound by the intricate design on its wings, when she realized she was trapped here in the room. It was a pale blue, furnished with only a bed and small table. On the table, there was an outdated magazine, the colors were faded and she didn't recognize the person who was on the cover. 

She got up from the bed and walked around. For it being so sparsely furnished, it was relatively large. She estimated it was at least the same size as the apartment she lived in, but it did not have the same comforting feel. 

"Hello?"

"Hello." 

Emma jumped. It sounded as though the voice had come from behind her. She turned to find a girl who seemed to be around 14 standing there, looking as though she didn't understand why Emma had gotten scared. Her black hair had magenta streaks in it and it was pulled back in a high ponytail. The makeup around her eyes was heavy and black, and if Emma didn't know any better, she would've said the girl's eyes had a reddish tint.

"How did you get here?" Emma asked the girl, taking a step back. 

"That's not important. What is important is how did you get here. And once you tell me that, I'm giving you 24 to figure out a way out of here....before I come back to kill you!" The girl smiled before skipping away happily...right through the wall.
